Have you ever had to squish or compress your pillow during the night because it got flat on you? That’s because the filling inside, whether it be down feathers, polyester fiberfill, or polyurethane foam or nuggets, shifted inside your pillow. This is either because your head moved around while sleeping, perhaps changing positions from side to side, or by the sheer weight of your head. Since the average weight of a human head is about 10 pounds, it is no wonder that your pillow went flat during the night.
And, a pillow going flat on you is no fun. Not keeping its shape is causing people to wake up with neck pain and insomnia as they switch from side to side, fold their pillow over, or try to re-fluff it during the night.
How nice would it be if your pillow kept its shape to help you attain a more restful, peaceful sleep?
Well, our Sammi Therapeutic Pillow does. How so?
Our pillows are filled with natural buckwheat hulls, which are beneficial for those who suffer from lower back pain and neck problems. The buckwheat hulls gently mold around the sleeper’s head, neck and shoulders and maintain their shape while the sleeper is sleeping. This is due to three reasons.
First, the buckwheat hulls have a 3-D structure that allow the hulls to stack well and lock in place during sleep and provide improved support in any sleeping position, thereby reducing strain on the neck, back, head and cervical spine. The spinal discs also receive the proper fluid absorption recharge throughout the night.
Second, the internal structure of the Sammi Therapeutic Pillow contains walls and compartments that hold the buckwheat hulls in place. They contain the hulls so that they have nowhere to go. These walls and compartments stabilize the buckwheat hulls. And, wIth the stacked configuration of the hulls, they allow the hulls to form a hollow structure that promotes good air circulation, allowing your head to remain cool throughout the night.
And third, inside the bottom of the Sammi Therapeutic Pillows is a base. In the Gen 1 version, there is a twin set of cotton pads filled with foam. In the Gen 2 version, there is a secondary pillow filled with either fiberfill or cotton batting. The result is that the base stabilizes the Sammi Therapeutic Pillow as it makes contact with the mattress.
So, there’s no need to worry about the shape of your pillow changing or shifting during the night. With the stable Sammi Therapeutic Pillow, it keeps its shape every time.
